Making the world better one photo at a time.

So what’s up with Digital Knight Photography anyway?

I was 15, standing in the Inkley’s camera store on 700 East, just north of 9400 South.  I was holding the display unit of the Canon AE-1.  I held it to my eye, and pushed the button.

That sound…  that amazing sound of the shutter releasing was like nothing I’d ever felt before.  It was more than hearing, it was feeling that amazing sound.  I could just feel photography pulling me in.

I bought that camera a month later…   almost 35 years ago now… it’s been a great ride.

I have shot professionally, full time for a while – but now I have a great job with a great company working with people I really like.  So I shoot every chance I get, an hour here or there, mostly stuff that interests me.  Pretty girls, amazing landscapes, food, it’s all pretty interesting – it’s whatever happens to catch my creative fancy.

What do I like best about photography?  It’s that instant creative expression.  I can’t even tell you why I “push the button” when I do – it just feels right.  You know?  So on weekends and some evenings, I go be instantly creative.

So what if you want to shoot with me?

Email me (doug [at] democard[dot]com).  Call me (801-671-1921).  Find me on Facebook and leave a message [link].

How much will it cost?  Depends.  How’s that?  Let’s talk and figure something out.

Thanks for dropping by.  I love creating images that move people.  I think you’re here because you’ve been moved and wanted to find more.  I appreciate that.  Makes my life better – like I’m making the world better one image at a time.
